My name is Ceema and I discovered EVE Online in 2008. It was right after my World of Warcraft guild broke up mid raid after on TeamSpeak, we heard the husband of our Guild Leader speaking from the microphone of one of the other female players in our guild. He was supposed to be away on a business trip but he was instead over at the other players house two states over banging out 1 on 1 PVP Practice.
Anyway a bunch of shouting started and eventually the raid shut down. I was still on coms, people were still shouting, and I said aloud “IN TIMES LIKE THIS, I WONDER WHAT MR ROGERS WOULD DO?”.
Well I was kicked from Teamspeak, and the guild that moment. Bored, I went onto our Server Forums and began posting MSPaint Memes of the event, which attracted the attention of a man named WarbirdTD who invited me into his Guild. I took a break from WoW for a bit and after finding an argument about “0.0 space” on the Something Awful forums and thinking it was the most complicated argument about Algebra I’d ever seen, I discovered EVE Online.
I’ve had a hilarious career in EVE and have met some great people. EVE has such an interesting history as written about by Andrew Groen however he left a lot untold like how CCP Rattati once yelled at a Red Lobster waitress at a VMWare Conference in 2017, how The Mittani stole my bike in the 7th grade, how Alterari Phoenix, Kocicek and Emmalin Breau once stole a Fire Engine to put out a fire started by James 315 at a Candy store. Or how EVE itself was created by Innominate, using his Linux Encoded Hands.
This site will tell the tales that never get told about how EVE is behind the scenes and all the hilarious and awesome people who aren’t so space famous, make it the best MMO EVER.
